And they can not ensure me that it will be ready on the new 4th completion date given either. This is absolutely terrible, I have a truck out if commission for 3 weeks now waiting on promised dates that they can not fulfill. They are now telling me another week and that’s not definite. Once again, no communication and no replacement unit. Now on the third week, the 3rd promised day and the unit has still not arrived. So I called again to find out what was happening and they then said it’s still not ready, wait another week! I then waiting another week, the promised date arrived and I still did not have the replacement unit nor any communication from them. I then contacted them to find out what was happening only to find out that they said it’s not ready yet. The promised day arrived and the unit was never delivered. Then they said they would send me a replacement unit and it would arrive a week from the call date. I paid good money and I expect a good unit. I purchased a rear differential assembly and when it arrived one of the cover bolts was cross threaded when they rebuilt it, so upon the removal of that bolt it snapped leaving half of the bolt inside of the rear end. Jasper as of now claims they are only obligated to reimburse 700$ or buy higher coverage up to 1400$ Which is 1750$ roughly before fluids taxes etc. What I am seeking is full accountability of cost associated with their faulty transmission. I have been in contact with several entities at Jasper working up the chain of command to resolve this concern. I am still waiting for delivery of second transmission which should arrive May 1st. Thankfully I did, because other shops may have not noticed the failure. I was and am willing to pay that premium over a smaller shop for that peace of mind. I choose ******** for peace of mind, going with a certified Chevrolet service department. Yet they freely sent out a second transmission to ******** (the third party) without my knowledge of any warranty coverage disputes.Īs of now I am expexted to pay ******** for two installations of 1750$ per installation for a total of 3500$, not including fluids taxes etc. Jasper claims this is a warranty issue, and claims 3rd party concerns. ******** is charging me 175$ a hour for both installations. Jasper is now trying to claim that they are only responsible for 70$ a hour for the second installation cost incurred with their faulty product. ******** had to perform a full installation of said transmission before running diagnostic tests for proper operation. I became aware of this situation after the fact. THIS HAD BEEN SETTLED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. Jasper concedes that can happen and immediately sends out a replacement transmission. ******** also informed me that they had reached out to Jasper to address the failure. ******** informs me that it is a faulty transmission with a bad forward interior seal. I reached out to ******** April 26th to find out when I could pick up my vehicle.
